How Can I Help You?
Hi, I’m Jen
I work with healers, spiritual seekers, clinicians, leaders, educators, and frontline helpers who hold everyone else together—until they can no longer do so. I help individuals recover their own self-connection without leaving the field they were called to.
Most of us didn’t choose this field because it looked attractive. We were pulled into it. Something in us recognized pain in others with an accuracy that felt almost uncanny. We stepped onto the frontlines because we could tolerate what others ran from—until the same skill set that made us effective started draining us from the inside out.
Years later, we’re the ones feeling empty. Overattached. Detached. Running on intellectual overdrive. Or convinced that if we just learn one more theory, one more modality, we’ll finally outrun the exhaustion swallowing our capacity.
Those of us who care for others aren’t exempt from the very wounds we treat. We carry our own histories, our own unresolved hurts, traumas, and the emotional residue of every person who has sat in front of us. Trauma doesn’t only belong to our clients. It lives in the lives of helpers too. And the truth is simple: we can’t take anyone further than we’ve gone ourselves. To hold another person’s pain without burning out, we have to become larger on the inside—more anchored, more embodied, more present than the storm in front of us. That inner expansion is what keeps us steady, not effort or grit.
I know that pattern intimately. Before private practice, I worked in emergency medicine, psychiatric units, and disaster response. I saw what trauma does externally, and I learned what it does internally when we keep pushing past our own limits. My own collapse—burnout, vicarious trauma, and a cancer diagnosis—forced me into the same reckoning many clinicians eventually face: you cannot stay intact if you’re living outside your own body.
What I teach isn’t another model to memorize. It’s a return to the part of you that never needed fixing—the part that can only be accessed through the body. True capacity isn’t built through insight alone. It’s built through embodiment, differentiation, and learning how to stay intact while sitting with the intensity of someone else’s life.
My work is for the healers who want to go all the way in their own recovery—so they can keep doing the work they came here to do without disappearing themselves.
Jennifer Finch, LPC, NCC, CBCT, SEP
Jennifer Finch, a teacher at heart, is a somatic trauma psychotherapist, embodiment and mindfulness instructor, retreat leader, content creator, and international public speaker who draws on decades of clinical practice, contemplative science, and meditative study. Prior to founding her private practice, Be Here Now Mindfulness, LLC, in 2012, Jennifer spent decades in emergency medicine, inpatient psychiatry, community mental health, and small- and large-scale crisis management, as well as teaching at several university settings. She served on disaster action teams, including deployments to the front lines of Hurricane Katrina, where she witnessed both the magnitude of human suffering and the resiliency of the human spirit. Today, Jennifer teaches and speaks internationally on trauma and vicarious trauma recovery, the science of compassion, embodiment, and sustainable caregiving for frontline healthcare providers, focusing on post-traumatic growth, and preventing burnout, empathic distress, and overwhelm. Her mission is to amplify what is good in humanity and make this easier.
Jennifer works with adults only. And, although not exclusive to this criterion, her ideal audience includes therapists, coaches, yoga teachers, healers, advanced students of consciousness, professionals seeking to excel in their field, and medical professionals seeking advanced training to recover from burnout, chronic stress patterns, and vicarious trauma. She is an expert in the field of trauma recovery and embodiment.

Jennifer combines spirituality with psychology and helps those who are ready to go all the way.
This is not an entry point of care. Jennifer no longer works with acute crisis management. She specializes in long-term transformation, not short-term stabilization. Her role is not to manage crises, suicidality, relapse prevention or provide case management, but to guide you into the depths of your own being, where genuine transformation becomes possible. Together, she will help you turn trauma, burnout, or chronic stress and anxiety into growth through embodied awareness and spiritual maturity.
You’ve done the work. You’ve studied and have taken basic training. You’ve supported and helped others heal. You have a decent foundation. Now it’s time to integrate, embody it, and live from the wholeness you’ve been seeking.
Are you ready to transform your trauma into wisdom?
SERVICES
Somatic Experiencing® + Realization process®
1:1 Individual Body-based Trauma Psychotherapy
All talked out? When insight stops helping, it’s usually because the mind is working alone. This is where Somatic Experiencing™ comes in—a neurophysical approach based on one simple truth: the body and mind aren’t two separate systems. You can’t think your way out of what the body is still holding.
Or, if you’re drawn to a deeper spiritual-psychology lens, there’s the Realization Process®—a direct, nondual method for inhabiting your body and restoring inner coherence.
Trauma—even trauma born from vicarious ways—is not a life sentence.
There are ways back into yourself that don’t depend on talking your way through the pain.

You’re here. Take it as a sign. It’s time to try something different.
Through the Healing Ground Realization Process®, innovative body-based methods, the science of meditation, and a systems-theory understanding of differentiation, we work together to bring you back into full embodiment and a steady sense of self.
Individual sessions are valuable—but immersive retreats, courses, and workshops accelerate the work in a way weekly therapy simply cannot. What might take nearly a year to unravel in traditional therapy can often be addressed far more efficiently in an intensive setting, where your attention, nervous system, and body have the space to shift all at once.
If you’re ready to elevate your healing, start with a course.

Trauma Conscious Somatic Meditation Coaching
Do you want more fullness and vitality in your life?
Somatic meditation isn’t just another practice—it’s a doorway into the depth of your own awareness. It allows you to wake up to what’s already here, beneath the noise of thinking and the habits of interpretation. It reconnects you to the internal space that most of us lost somewhere between survival, achievement, and tending to everyone else’s needs.
I offer a carefully curated consciousness curriculum designed to develop your internal capacity, strengthen your sense of self, and expand your ability to move through life with grounded awareness. It’s a structured progression for people who want to grow in a deliberate, intelligent, and sustainable way, but you don’t need the therapeutic component and want to focus more deeply on your practice.
Somatic meditation and embodiment are not luxuries; they are part of our human inheritance.
Client Words
“Jen was incredibly helpful, patient, kind, and knowledgable. I have a fairly strong background in meditation/mindfulness and was not sure how much new information I would learn. I was greatly surprised how much I received and how well I was taught to implement it in my daily life. My experience was personally and professionally beneficial and well timed. Jen is obviously well versed in her subject.”—seasoned practitioner
“Thanks to Jennifer for introducing me to a unique program that enlightens, grounds & guides me daily. Healing Ground has truly matured my daily embodiment practice. A quantum leap beyond the mindfulness practices available 5-10 years ago.”—seasoned therapist
“It was a life changing class. Most of my anxiety is gone. I have found out through traveling to the Costa Rican Jungle alone I am still an anxious traveler but put me in any social situation and I am able to stay grounded now. I will continue to tell people about Jennifer’s class Healing Ground.”—successful business woman
“This course was so incredibly profound and beneficial. I’ve studied Buddhism for over three decades and I even attended a master’s program at a Buddhist University! I never received the depth of learning and an effective process to cultivate an embodied presence while feeling grounded in my true nature, free from conditioning and personal narratives from past experiences. I’m enjoying the new freedom I have in exploring emotionally charged states of being from a more expansive and secure place in myself. Having survived difficult traumas, there is nothing more important than finding safety inside my own body, and now I have a means for this! Thanks so much for your expertise snd skillfulness in your teaching and your gracious way of holding space and responding in such a comprehensive way. I felt so supported and all of me was welcome! Many blessings!”—seasoned therapist
“As a yoga instructor I thought I was fairly or even strongly connected to my body. What I learned from Jennifer is that I was only aware of my body, but not actually in my body. I wasn’t “inhabited” as she says. I found places that were numb and constricted and full of anxiety. After her embodiment class, I am finally feeling like I am living and present in my body. This has changed everything, and the way I teach yoga now.”—successful business woman/ yoga instructor
Welcome to Be Here Now,
I am passionate about helping others discover how to use the body itself as a supremely powerful tool for connecting us to the joy and freedom our lives have to offer. Trauma and chronic stress patterns from our past, or even relational present, keep us, or on extreme occasions, have completely severed us, from experiencing our world in its most pure and rich texture and brilliance. And, it now hinders our ability to continue holding space for others.
I’m here to tell you that you’re deserving of a full, rich life without trauma triggers and an overdrive nervous system nagging you. You already have everything you need within you to heal, and you can fight to restore your vitality, even against all odds of your past, or current situation. All you need is the courage to begin, and a curiosity to plumb the depths of your somatic interior.
