This is a 5-hour continuing education course approved through the LPCA-GA. It is a full participation course, live, via Zoom, beginning at 9:30 am, Friday September 11, 2026 and ending at 3:45 pm with optional Q&A until 4:00 pm ET. full schedule will be emailed upon registration.

But for those of us who spend our lives caring for others, compassion can get complicated.
How do we remain deeply connected to another person without absorbing their experience as our own? How do we stay open to suffering without becoming overwhelmed by it—or protecting ourselves by shutting down?
The Anatomy of Compassion explores what allows us to care deeply while remaining grounded in ourselves. We’ll look at empathy, compassion, boundaries, differentiation, and the embodied experience of being with another human being in pain.
