This Certification Addendum supplements the Be Here Now Mindfulness Participant Agreement and applies only to individuals enrolled in the Certified Kintsugi Facilitator Training.
Purpose of Certification
The Certified Kintsugi Facilitator Training is an educational program designed to prepare participants to facilitate their own experiential Kintsugi workshops using the concepts, principles, and facilitation methods presented during the training.
Certification reflects successful completion of this training program. It is not a professional license, state credential, mental health certification, or academic degree. (see Certification Requirements below)
The intention of this certification is not merely to facilitate the repair of broken pottery, but to cultivate an experiential approach that honors reflection, presence, compassion, impermanence, and the symbolic practice of repair. Certified facilitators are encouraged to preserve the spirit and integrity of these guiding principles, even as they bring their own voice and professional experience to the groups they are leading.
Certified Kintsugi Facilitators are encouraged to facilitate in a manner that reflects their own voice, professional background, audience, and areas of expertise. Adaptations that respond to the unique needs of participants and reflect the facilitator’s individual style are welcomed. Be Here Now Mindfulness recognizes that meaningful facilitation naturally evolves through each facilitator’s experience and perspective while remaining grounded in the guiding principles presented during the training.
Once independently leading workshops, Certified Kintsugi Facilitators are solely responsible for the design, content, marketing, delivery, participant experience, and legal compliance of their own programs. Independent workshops should not imply sponsorship by, endorsement from, or affiliation with Be Here Now Mindfulness, LLC beyond accurately stating that the facilitator completed the Certified Kintsugi Facilitator Training.
Certification Requirements:
Certified Kintsugi Facilitator Training
A proprietary facilitator certification for therapists, educators, coaches, and group leaders who want to bring the symbolic practice of Kintsugi into workshops, groups, retreats, and educational settings.
Certification awarded by Be Here Now Mindfulness, LLC upon successful completion of training requirements.
Participants must complete the full training, participate in the experiential process, demonstrate the ability to safely facilitate the experiential Kintsugi process presented during the training, understand contraindications and scope of practice, agree not to present the work as therapy unless independently licensed, and accurately represent the scope of their training while avoiding presenting modified materials as official Be Here Now Mindfulness content.
Disclaimer:
This certification does not constitute a mental health license, art therapy credential, or state/national accreditation. It certifies completion of this proprietary training model and readiness to facilitate experiential Kintsugi-informed workshops within the participant’s existing scope of practice.
Be Here Now Mindfulness makes no representation that completion of this training guarantees specific therapeutic, clinical, business, or personal outcomes. Participants are responsible for ensuring that any claims they make regarding their own workshops comply with applicable laws and professional standards. The FTC expects health-related claims to be truthful, not misleading, and supported by reliable evidence. You can read more about the FTC guidelines here.
